The two most common visit types for returning patients are well visits and sick visits.

  • Well visits are routine checkups that help track your child’s growth and development over time. These visits typically include a physical exam, developmental screening, and any recommended immunizations based on your child’s age and health history. They’re also a great opportunity to discuss nutrition, sleep, behavior, and any concerns you may have about your child’s well-being. If your child needs a sports physical, it can be completed during their well visit.

  • Sick visits are scheduled as needed when your child isn’t feeling well. These visits focus on diagnosing and treating illnesses or other health concerns, such as fevers, colds, ear infections, or more urgent symptoms. If your child needs to be seen for a sudden illness, we encourage you to call our office as early in the day as possible so we can find the best available appointment time.

Preparing for Your Appointment

To help your visit go smoothly and to minimize wait times, please arrive on time and bring the following:

  • Any required forms (such as school or sports physical forms)

  • Current insurance information

  • A payment method for any co-pays or out-of-pocket costs

  • Parent/guardian’s photo ID

  • A list of your child’s medications and supplements, including dosage and frequency

Bringing the necessary paperwork and information helps our providers focus on what matters most—your child’s health and well-being. If you have any questions about what to bring or how to prepare for your visit, feel free to contact us before your appointment.
