Dr. Anderson was born in Vancouver Canada where she grew to love skiing, scuba diving and horseback riding. She graduated high school at Carson Graham Secondary and completed her undergraduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. She met and married a Nebraskan, Dan Anderson, and moved to Omaha in 1996 where she completed her medical training at UNMC in 2000. She then undertook her pediatric residency through the UNMC-Creighton-Children’s Hospital Joint Pediatric Residency Training Program.
Her husband is an EP cardiologist at UNMC. They have two daughters - Ashdyn and Jordan - who are a constant source of joy and inspiration (and always keep them on their toes!). Dr. Anderson enjoys spending time with her family traveling, skiing, cheering at Husker football games. She also loves running; she's done the Market to Market relay for many years, along with other events including a marathon, several half marathons and triathlons. Dr. Anderson appreciates the trust that her patients place in her to take care of them and their families. She feels it is a privilege to be able to take care of children and she works hard to advocate for her patients and to ease the pain of illness. Forming a partnership with parents to ensure their child's best health is her favorite part of her job. That, and all those special smiles and giggles!! Dr. Anderson has been a part of VPP since it was established and she couldn’t be prouder of the group of professionals and staff that she is lucky to call family at VPP. All of her partners and support staff are individuals that she would trust to take care of her family - so you can trust that you will always be in good hands at Village Pointe Pediatrics. |
